You brought most of your equipment, except for your toolbox - B.
You did a great job with your drawing assignments - A.
This week, I want you to focus on drawing.
1. Architectural drawing - that is, use perspective to develop a drawing on the Illustration Board. We will paint it next week, with a new medium - gouache.
2. Value Study - Prepare this "simple" drawing (meaning you can draw normally without perspective accuracy), but putting in the appropriate shadows, if the sun where high right.
I included some photos of planes as an example of what you might enjoy doing.
Photography represents a captured moment with a captured space. Currently, I am exploring high contrast photos that suggest movement and space. They suggest movement through subject or camera motion. Subjects may move and create a blur through the viewed space. I may also adapt the photo by using a subject blur or panning to create a blur. I attempt to shoot in high contrast environments: a lot of light or a bit of light. The pictures of the students at night represents a good example. With the students backlit at night, they become part of the background, which is unlit dark of night. Some separate light does hit them, but the main subject becomes the background light streaming through their clothing and around their forms.
